The design of the Motorola (Symbol) MC9500-K rugged mobile computer is of the next generation, being smaller, sleeker, and easier to comfortably hold and grip.

There are many new features that are included with the Motorola (Symbol) MC-9500-K rugged mobile computer. Motorola MAX FlexWAN is found on the Motorola (Symbol) MC9500-K rugged mobile computers, in order to allow swappable broadband. Motorola MAX Keypad is also available with field swappable keypad options on the Motorola (Symbol) MC9500-K rugged mobile computer. There are other features such as a powerful microprocessor, higher capacity battery, and more.

The Motorola MC9500-K may also be referred to as the Symbol MC9500-K as Motorola acquired Symbol in 2006; it may also be referred to as the MC9500-K as Zebra then acquired the enterprise mobility business from Motorola in 2014.
