POSsavings.com

The 6100 mobile computer from Honeywell is a handheld retail device utilizing the Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 operating system. With a reliable Marvell XScale PXA300 624 MHz processor and wireless communication integration, this handheld can be used to conveniently look up prices, conduct audits, track inventory, and assist with customer inquiries.
The 6100 handheld is designed in an ergonomically-sound manner. The shape and angles of the Honeywell 6100 fit comfortably in one’s hand, allowing one to scan products without obstructing or skewing the viewing angle.
Durability was not sacrificed in achieving the aesthetic design of this handheld. With an IP54-rating, dirt, dust, humidity (95%) and mild water exposure such as splashing water does not pose a threat of damage. Accidental drops and falls are withstood well too. Drops from as high as 1.2 meters are tolerated and tumbles from 1 meter are sustained up to 500 times without affecting operation, ensuring continued and dependable use for many years.
Adaptus Imaging technology 5.5 (with the imager option) gives this device data collection capabilities such as linear and two-dimensional bar code scanning, intelligent signature capture, and digital image capture. These capabilities help the user to efficiently assist customers and increase and expedite productivity.
The 6100’s VoIP support allows users to make phone calls and thus eliminates the need for additional devices. Wireless 802.11b/g integration offers users ultimate control of data. Charging is completed in about four hours, and the unit is able to hold an operating charge for eight hours, making it suitable for a full shift. Overall, the 6100 is a versatile and rugged mobile computer.
